Running CMD as administrator I'm getting a message "The following command was not found: winstock reset catalog." Any ideas?

+Pralhad Raorane Please understand what I'm saying, I tried both of what I have in quotes. "netsh winstock reset catalog" exactly as you've written is what I tried.

+Pralhad Raorane I tried both "netsh winstock reset catalog" as suggested in this video and also "netsh winstock reset" as other sources suggested.

what command did you typed exactly can i know about it!

+Pralhad Raorane I did include the netsh portion when typing it in to CMD, it wasn't included in the message I received back though. I found it odd, but not experienced enough to know if it was worth mentioning. Thank you for taking the time to respond though I was prompted for a Windows Update the next morning and was able go access the internet after the update. Still not sure why CMD wouldn't recognize the prompt though.

are you going to lose your files?
167IsaBella (9 months ago)
But if you use chrome, you gonna be loosing your set up favorites. In my case my favorites from 5-6 years ago came back, even when I do not had this computer and this OS back then (Win 10 home I have now, Win 7 I had back then). Weird. And after a few shot down and boot up the problem with the connection is back again. Altough I can access facebook, youtube, and Google-gmail. Nothing more.
